Kyle Petty, Doug Rice to Appear on July 2nd Edition of Race 2 Win Radio

TAYLORS, SC (July 2, 2009) – TNT NASCAR analyst Kyle Petty, auto racing icon, champion philanthropist and one of the sport’s most popular personalities, will be the featured guest on the July 2nd edition of Race 2 Win Radio. The show will air live at 1:00 pm ET at www.blogtalkradio.com/race2win.

Petty will serve as Grand Marshal for the 51st annual Coke Zero 400 on Saturday, July 4th at Daytona International Speedway. Petty will give the command, “Gentlemen, start your engines” to the 43-car field and to his father Richard Petty, who will pace the field in a replica 200th-winning No. 43 car.

Doug Rice, President and General Manager of Performance Racing Network and co-anchor of all of the PRN race broadcasts, will also be a special guest on Thursday’s episode. Rice can also be heard on PRN's Fast Talk show each Monday night with a star-studded lineup of NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers.

Mike Calinoff, spotter for Matt Kenseth and the No. 17 DEWALT Ford, will check in with his "Keys to Winning" segment for Daytona. Calinoff will also discuss the efforts of the No. 17 team at both Sonoma and New Hampshire.

Award-winning journalist Kenny Bruce, assistant managing editor of NASCAR Scene, is back to take his turn on the “Writer’s Block,” a weekly segment he shares with Rick Minter, senior writer for RacinToday.com, in which two of the top writers in the sport discuss the biggest stories in and around NASCAR.

Boris Said Highlights June 18th Episode of Race 2 Win Radio

TAYLORS, SC (June 18, 2009) – Who said? Boris Said. What did Boris say? Boris Said that he would be a special guest on the June 18th edition of Race 2 Win Radio. Also stopping by the jam-packed episode will be one of the Randy Moss Motorsports drivers, either Mike Skinner or Tayler Malsam, and ARCA drivers Tim George Jr. and Alli Owens. Road racing expert and ESPN analyst Boris Said, driver of the No. 08 Ford Fusion, will be making his second appearance of the NASCAR Sprint Cup season this weekend at Infineon Raceway. Said will share his road racing expertise and discuss his plans for the remainder of the 2009 season.

Either Mike Skinner, driver of the No. 5 Toyota, will be stopping by to discuss a new sponsor signing or leading Raybestos Rookie of the Year Tayler Malsam, driver of the No. 81 One Eighty Toyota, will join the show for the first time since his co-hosting stint on the program back in April.

Tim George Jr., driver of the No. 2 Ruby Tuesday Toyota, will talk about his attempt to transition from sports cars to stock cars as a rookie in the ARCA Re/Max Series. Fellow ARCA competitor Alli Owens, driver of the No. 19 ElectrifyingCareers.com Toyota, will discuss her venture into the world of radio. Owens hosts ‘Gas and Go with Alli O,’ a show that focuses on women in motorsports.

Nemechek, Peters on June 11th Episode of Race 2 Win Radio

TAYLORS, SC (June 11, 2009) – Joe Nemechek, owner and driver of the No. 87 NEMCO Motorsports Toyota, and Timothy Peters, driver of the No. 17 Strutmasters.com Toyota for Red Horse Racing will be this week’s special guests on the June 11th, 2009 episode of Race 2 Win Radio. Nemechek, one of the few owner/drivers in the sport, has run most of the 2009 season without the benefit of a major sponsor to back his efforts. Nemechek owns cars in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series.

This week’s race at Michigan will mark Peters’ first race with Red Horse Racing. The team announced on Tuesday that Peters and crew chief Chad Kendrick would join the organization for the remainder of the season.

Reutimann and Wimmer to Appear on June 4th Episode

TAYLORS, SC (June 4, 2009) – Joining 11-year NASCAR veteran Jeff Holtzclaw, Heather Meyer of the Stock Car Gazette and professional racecar driver Blake Feese on the Thursday, June 4th edition of Race 2 Win Radio (www.blogtalkradio.com/race2win) will be David Reutimann, driver of the No. 00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, and Scott Wimmer, driver of the No. 40 Key Motorsports Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. The show will air LIVE at 1:00 pm ET.

Reutimann, one of the hottest drivers on the circuit right now, was able to follow up his win in the Coca-Cola 600 on Memorial Day with a pole position at Dover merely four days later. Reutimann heads to Sunday’s race at Pocono Raceway only 31 points outside of the coveted 12th spot in the Cup Series point standings.

Wimmer, who won the spring race at Nashville Superspeedway in 2008, will have Federated Auto Parts on board as primary sponsor for this weekend’s event at the concrete track. Wimmer holds the current race record for the NNS at Nashville with a speed of 134.095 MPH.

Jason Keller, driver of the No. 27 Kleenex Ford Fusion for Baker Curb Racing, and Brad Coleman, driver of the No. 20 Rudy’s Texas Bar-B-Q Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing will be the special guests on the May 28th episode of Race 2 Win Radio. Keller will be sporting a uniquely-designed paint scheme at Dover this weekend. The new paint scheme will help Kimberly-Clark’s retail partner, The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co. (A&P), celebrate its 150th anniversary and support the grocer’s more than 20-year partnership with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Episode to Feature David Stremme and Larry Gunselman as Special Guests; Tim Packman to Serve as Co-host

TAYLORS, SC (May 6, 2009) – Jeff Holtzclaw and Race 2 Win proudly announce that Gunselman Motorsports (www.gunselmanmotorsports.com) will be the presenting sponsor for the May 7th episode of Race 2 Win Radio (www.blogtalkradio.com/race2win).

“I love everything that Larry Gunselman and the No. 64 team stand for,” said Holtzclaw, host of Race 2 Win Radio. “Larry is a racer and he really wants to race. The segment was originally scheduled to premiere during the April 30th episode but was postponed due to the funeral of David Poole.

Minter joined The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in 1991, where he covered motorsports as well as serving as a bureau chief. From 2000-2008 he focused on racing exclusively, traveling the NASCAR circuit as the paper’s motorsports writer and winning awards from several organizations including the Georgia Automobile Racing Hall of Fame Association and the City of Atlanta.

Packman kicked off his racing career as a track announcer in Buffalo, until he was hired by NASCAR.com in 2000, where he won three writing awards. From 2003 – 2007, he worked as Website Editor for Dale Earnhardt, Inc. Packman was hired as a pit reporter for MRN from 2005 – 2007 and later served as News Director for the network. He also co-hosted a post-race show on Sirius Satellite Radio in 2007. Packman published his first book, Bobby Allison - A Racer's Racer, in 2003, with two more in the works.

April 30th Episode to Feature Jamie McMurray, Scott Speed and Tayler Malsam as Special Guests

TAYLORS, SC (April 29, 2009) – Rick Minter, senior writer for RacinToday.com, and Kenny Bruce, assistant managing editor of NASCAR Scene and scenedaily.com, will join the crew at Race 2 Win Radio (www.blogtalkradio.com/race2win) beginning with the May 7th episode.

Minter and Bruce will be featured in “The Writer’s Block,” a new weekly segment used to discuss the stories that they are writing as well as the top news in the sport of NASCAR.

Rick Minter joined The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in 1991, where he covered motorsports as well as serving as a bureau chief. From 2000-2008 he focused on racing exclusively, traveling the NASCAR circuit as the paper’s motorsports writer and winning awards from several organizations including the Georgia Automobile Racing Hall of Fame Association and the City of Atlanta.

Kenny Bruce has been covering NASCAR and other forms of auto racing for the past 27 years. He is a three time winner of the George Cunningham Award, presented annually by the National Motorsports Press Association. Bruce joined NASCAR Scene in 2001 and currently serves as Assistant Managing Editor of NASCAR Scene.
